Accident Involving an HHR (Not Mine)

Thought id share with you hhr enthusiasts, i found this thru my local newspaper site and theres some pics of the hhr being upside down and burned.. it looks horrible.

(that i don't have one yet) but thought id share with you all - the driver of the hhr did a head on with another car in the wrong way - the driver of the hhr was involved with alcohol. (both the driver and other driver died)

Take a few moments to read the whole thing and see some pics of it.

So You guys please be careful and dont get involved with somthing like these, i would hate seeing all your hhrs get totaled like this and be safe during this holiday season and happy holidays!

I saw the video on WEAR but couldn't find pictures. Glad you were able to. The only way I could identify it as an HHR was by the wheels. The funny thing is I had just sent a picture of that damaged red HHR posted a few days ago and told my boys that was why I drove an HHR. They are very safe!

This is a real tragedy! There were blinking warning signs in place. Maybe instead they need to install the spikes that puncure tires. It just shows how alcohol makes you do really stupid things!

That had to be more than 140 MPH combined speed at point of impact. They didn't have a chance of surviving that crash.

Just a grim reminder to me and all to remember to not drive while imparred especially in a season where the even casual drinkers may have that one too many. I'd believe this army pilot didn't purposely over-induldge; but this time it cost him his life as well as the other family man. I wish I could say I never drove after having more than one too many, but can't. Thank God that is in my past, but know I am not perfect and could be there again.

I pray that our God of all Comfort will be with these families.

I didn't read the whole article. Did it mention the speed limit on the bridge is 45 mph? So both drives were speeding. I've taken that bridge hundreds of times and often other drivers fly past me. It's hard enough trying to maneuver through the winds much less going way over the speed limit.
