Active Brake Control?

How does one tell if their car has option JL4 Active Brake Control or not with option JM4?
What is it? How does it work?Whats different and why? I want to research brake booster replacement and need to know.
I have ABS 2007 front disc, rear drum.
ECBM 10386644 Factory label
Block assy 15868930 factory label.
Also from what i have read these are the same either way too. No mention of Active in Haynes manual either?
Help!

Check the list of RPO codes on the label in the glove box to see if JL4 is listed as being installed. JL4 for HHR's is called StabiliTrak, not Active Brake Control
( https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/gene...options-12674/ ).

Actually whopper, a bit of essentially useless trivia, but RPO JL4 is known is "Active Brake Control" across the board on GM platforms until you get to the Delta Platform siblngs. HHR, Cobalt, G-5, Ion, Saab 9-3, Vauxhall Astra, etc.

Thanks so much. Found what I needed to know in glove box tag. JM4 for me. I was getting so fustrated.
Could not find anything listed in Haynes manual, and breezed my factory digital manual and still came up empty. I crossed referenced all major brake components and the only difference appears to be brake booster.
I still would like to know what the JL4 system is mechanically and the visual differences between the two as well, just for the knowledge.
I posted in the brake section today and didn't get any replies yet.
I stopped real hard, emergency braking and pedal is very different now.
Better description in my other post..
Thanks Again.

What looks different is the ABS controller, black box in front of the fuse box.

Then there are the wheel speed sensors and a yaw sensor.

The brakes are the same. Your problem should not be related to anything "new fangled".
