Adding Remote Start to an LS

I'm sure this has probably been covered a number of times, but the search function isn't working today. Probably a problem with my laptop. Anyways, is there anyway to add the factory GM remote start to my LS that wasn't originally equipped with it?

If yours is a manual like mine, you cannot add it. It is a safety thing with the sticks. Mine doesn't have it either.

I have a 08 LT1 Automatic that was apparently a rental since it doesn't have the "AP3" code in the glove box. I have been wondering about the auto start installation as well and haven't been able to find any how to's. Mabey someone here knows.

Mine's an auto and I knew about most people not being able to add a remote start on a manual. Goin by what my dealer said, it wasn't a rental. Any way to tell if it was or not?

I use the remote start several times a week on my LS.

Anyways, the Clifford alarm system I put on my pickup 12 years ago had remote start included. Don't know if more modern cars would be as easy for an aftermarket solution?

A quick check at Car Toys has a few GM remote start modules/systems for sale...

Thats what I was looking for. I was wanting to know if I could get the module and key fobs and have the dealer reprogram mine to accept it
