I had a remote starter on my t-bird in 1974. EG classics made it and sold it when they were in Brentwood Maryland. I think they are in Columbia, Md now and they make all the custom grille kits for cars. They might still make the remote starters for cars. I know they had one for a standard shift. It had some kind of neutral safety switch that disabled it if it weren't left in neutral. Back in the day I emptied many bars when my car started by itself outside. I would always turn it off just ahead of everyone going outside to see the car that started all by itself. I didn't own up to it being my car, lots of fun. My SS has a factory installed one that I don't ever use. I guess the novelty is gone---shame.
