AP3 has a different meaning for 2009. It means RKE (that they all have) There is no specific code for RVS for 2009-2011.

Help me interpret that? RKE and RVS?

Yes, the barcode sticker was there when I bought the car, probably from the rental company. I just haven't peeled it off yet.

So do you think it's possible to add satellite to the car and retain factory look, without too much hassle?

You would need a XM unit, wiring and antenna from a junkyard AND BCM programming from GM. BT would take a OnStar module from a junkyard and wiring. And some know-how

If you want to experiment you could try patching the XV300V1 into the radio plug since the radio does not have a dedicated plug for XM, but there are pins for the XM in the harness plug. Steering wheel controls go through the BCM, so maybe.

"XM/Sirius Ready" means there is a barrel plug on the back of the HU ready for literal plug n play.

If the fob has a remote button and the car has no RVS, the fob may be a replacement. There’s no harm in double checking the setup for a disabled remote start option, though; even if not SUPPOSED to be there in a 2009, who knows for sure what fleet sales would do to land a fat rental order?

Yes, he could scroll through the menus in the DIC to see if there is a RVS option to enable. Or, look for a wire going into the hood latch (not the impact sensor).
