Dear BADBOY,

At this point in time, I am not seeing recall information for the air bag warning lights. However, I would be happy to research the recall information pertaining to your specific vehicle. If you would like me to do this please, send me your VIN. You can provide me with this information via the private message system on the forum or you can e-mail it to me at: socialmedia@gm.com ATTN: Michelle Phillips.

For the specific warranty and pricing information that you are seeking, it is best to contact the warranty specialist at the local Chevrolet dealership. I am provided an outline about warranties, but the service department has the specific details about each vehicles warranty and the pricing information if this had to be fixed after a warranty has ended. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Sincerely,
Michelle, Chevrolet Customer Service

I took my 2009 HHR in also for check airbag light. I had to have a wire harness replaced due to corrosion, eventhough the harness is inside the ****pit, not under the hood.

On the 2nd trip to the dealer for the "SERVICE AIR BAG" warning, the light was on for them to extract a code. They said the front bumper impact sensor was coding B0083. They replaced the sensor with part number 15821097 and sent me home. The panel was never involved in a collision, the sensor was sending out a fault code. If you want me to scan the invoice, pm me and I will scan it and sent you an email, Bear

Just had a intermittent problem with the air bag service light ,mine was coming on when the car was in the sun and the temp was over 95 .Every morning it would be OK.
Lucky it thru a code and they replaced a sensor under the passenger seat .Its been overcast here so haven't tested it .Will be heading to South Carolina today may see some warmer temp's and sunshine there .

Michelle;
Thanks for the advice earlier , Had some time in Georga to have it fixed. We are in South carolina still and the light hasn't come on but its been on and off overcast and rainy with some sun and temp in the high 80.s
Will get to test it when we head home next week thru Texas and Arizona.
