So no one has attempted this?
I took a look at the impala dash and the head units are the same size I believe:
so theoretically, aside from the additional sensors needed, it should be plug and play

I have yet to meet an auto-CC that can react to MY needs (as opposed to what the computer thinks I want) faster than I can reach down and turn a knob. Less to go wrong, it takes no effort to adjust the temp myself and it keeps the cost low. Every instance I've been in a car with auto-CC, I've not enjoyed the experience. How often do you really need to adjust the HVAC anyway?
It's almost as necessary as remote controls for a car stereo.....because extending our arms and using our opposable thumbs has become simply too much effort to expend? Doomed I tell ya. Doomed.
