Alternative Fuels?
Okay so we all know that today, oil reached a new record of $127 a barrel! Which brings an average cost per gallon to just about $4.75! Now I dont know about you but as of today it takes about $55 to fill up my tank and im tired of it. So Ive been doing some minor research on alternatives. My question to you all is what types or websites have you heard of and has anyone tried converting there HHR to run on something other than gas? Im seriously thinking about it so let a turtle know lol

There are no approved conversions as of now. Doing it will probably void your warranty. If that is not an issue, there are several E85 conversions that seems to have good luck. But then again, not approved by the EPA.

Try typing in "hydrogen-on-demand" in your search line. You'll be surprised at the "backyard technology" available (or not). At the least, you can see others are doing more than talking about change. If you're waiting for BP or OPEC, well...

every gas powered car can be converted to run on e85. its only some minor changes to the fuel delevery system. i wish they would start producing more of it, it will give us more hp and its a cleaner burning fuel. the only draw back is we will get less mpg but if its produced more we can get the cost down on it. i think gm is on the right track with all the e85 stuff and the 09 hhr will be e85 ready! yes its easy to convert your car now, but it will more then likely void the warranty.

Now you've got that conversion, I can sell you a supercharger made from a c0cktail blender for another $49.95!

If Adobe Reader pops up dialog box about an i/o error reading the file, close the page and try the link again.
P.S. The process also has the very cool side effect of removing some carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. It's a win - win.
