i got the equinox one...love it! from what i've read on here alot, sounds more like chrome for looks or rubber for reception. just call up your local chevy dealer and ask for the parts dept. then ask for the price for an 07 equinox antenna. i was going to order it onlne, but with taxes, shipping and all that other stuff, i enden paying like $2.00 more and just got it from the dealership about 2 miles away. i ended up paying like $35.00. but looks and reception..love em!

Just found this site with different sizes of antennas and low prices.
You could buy different sizes and styles and still have money left in your wallet for gas.

I got the black x-series antenna from them and it didn't fit. The threads on the adapter are too long. I've been meaning to try and cut the adapter down a little bit.

Is the Equinox antenna better than the stock one, reception wise? Why would I change it? What makes it better?

well the 'nox antenna is stubby and not fishing pole looking. the main reason that i got mine, was my hhr didn't come with an antenna ( got it used ). but the look of it compared to the other hhr s around here
