Antenna
#23
I am thinking that frenching the antenna into the rear sail panel behind the rear side window is where my antenna will end up, but not for awhile, the baby is new and I am not doing any major body modifications just yet. Being a bodyman for years has made me want to enjoy a nice factory paint job for awhile...hahaha I do appreciate Chevy "NOT" putting the antenna on my fender and screwing with the flow.

dan-d, Glad to see someone else agrees with the reto look. I hit my local bone yard for some shopping. I found a (I dont remember the model, and I am a chevy man...) chevy passenger car that fit the angle of the HHR fender. so I dismantled and took home. I cut the right fender from the bottom up. Note: do not cut all the way out, I used the fender to screw to...I will try to upload pix soon, once I fiqure it out.Looks like it naturally belongs. The bad part is removing the old one (headliner) and pluging the hole. You will need an antenna adpter from new chevy to old antenna style(circuit City $15.00+ or-) and yes, you can go power or manual...Looks great.

another answer :)
I saw a post some where on here about using the antenna from an Equinox. It is not "stubby" but it is shorter than the stock HHR. It was my first "mod" and done before I took my new car off of the lot. $41 from Chevy parts counter :). Works great here in DFW.
