Any one replace front fender(s).

Have looked for threads for fender removal/replacement.

I hit a deer a couple years ago and have always wondered how
hard or easy it would be to do my self. ~ Thanks for any help Dw. !

I have not done it, but it looks fairly easy. Get the front bumper cover off, get the fender liner off, then remove the bolts. There are holes for aligning the new fender.

It more tedious then hard IMO. When I bought my HHR it had a bad fender, so I bought one at the wreckers and replaced it. Once you have the new one you can see where all the bolts will be on yours, the worst part was at the bottom where the rocker panel is, there was one bolt that was tricky to get at because the rockers cannot be removed and reinstalled. The clips break from what I've read here and I didn't want to risk it.

If I remember correctly our Administrator, Mike, did some front end repairs on one of his HHR's. I believe a fender was involved.

Yup, you're right Snoopy, I did just replace a right front fender on one this year, and it's a fiddly job.

The fenders are kinda flimsy, and getting the gap and shutline between the fender and the door is just a touch exasperating.

Patience is required, and care too.
