I'm not too worried about it. Its been worse and we have bounced back before. But look at the bright side. If you have the money to spend. Right now is the time to buy up some GM stock
Do you think GM will do warranty repairs for an aftermarket tune for a major, brand confident stockholder?

Depends on how big of a share you hold I guess. As we say in down here in the industry. It's not who you know... It's who you blow.

83% of economists say we are currently in a recession or are heading into one soon. Heard that on the radio. My husband sells real estate and the real estate market has been down for the last 3 years in our area...I thought last year was tough....now we are at rock bottom. We have drained everything we have...equity, savings and some retirement money just to keep our heads above water and we still can't. Hubby is looking for other work too. Trying to sell our house and we can't...no one is even looking and we have drastically reduced our price. He's making minimal money and I had to go get a real job, traded in my 07 Mazda for the 06 HHR, got rid of other things too to reduce monthly expenses & costs...we are trying everything we can to help ourselves and it seems it's not enough. I am doing fine and figure eventually things will turn around and we just gotta keep doing the best we can. It will take years though and I am preparing for that...there's a life lesson in all this and we will be stronger and better. Good luck to you all!!! Peace!!

The market should be more stable by Monday with the goverment buying into the banks.
The problem is so much damage has been done over the last two weeks it will take 6 months to a year for the economy to recover.
The big worry is now if the Russians, N Koreans, Iran or insert many other small oil country decides to do something stupid to upset the cart.
As for the GM/Chrysler deal it is too soon to read much into this.
We need to wait to see the details first and then decide if it is a good thing or not.
There are too many things they could be going on here to read too much into this yet.
Gas here is $2.83 and on the other side of town I heard it is $2.36.
