anybody see this?

Hey folks, please listen up (and I'm not going to be funny here):
1) Do everything you can to pay DOWN your credit cards; the interest on credit cards is outrageous.
2) Only purchase those items you need and CAN afford. If you want the new big screen LCD TV but CAN'T buy it with cash, DON'T buy it. Putting it on the credit card is not the way to go.
3) If you can, remember to pay yourself every month...YES pay yourself. Put money in a savings account. Even if it is only $5...get into the habit of paying yourself.
4) Protect your credit rating; in tough times those with a high credit rating will get the money they need. One reason GM is not selling so many cars anymore is that they have tighten their credit rules. Remember to keep your credit card balances no higher than 20% of the total amount your could use against the credit card.
5) Pay your bills on-time, especially your mortgage payment. A friend of mine is a GSM at a Honda dealer. Last week a lady came in with $8,000 cash to buy a $19,000 car. She was turned down by Honda Finance because she had been late twice on her mortgage payment. The $8,000 cash didn't do squat to help her get the loan. After she found out, she reached into her purse and pulled out another $3,000 and Honda still turned her down with $11,000 down on a $19,000 car. All because she was late twice in the last year on her Mortgage payment.
6) If you are an impulse buyer, especially when you are alone, NEVER go shopping alone anymore. Have someone with you that can keep you from buying that item you just "got to have."
There are other pieces of tid-bids I can offer, but I will stop here. If you've read this far, God love ya! BUT for those who want to keep their computers running a long time...
7) If you have a desktop computer, every 3 months take the computer outside. Remove the cover and take a can of high pressure air (purchase at computer stores, Wal Mar, Office Depot, etc) and blow the dust off the computer components. Also, if you can afford it, get the most powerful internal fan that will work with the computer and install it. Lowering the heat inside the desktop will help make it last longer. And speaking of heat...
8) If you have a laptop, invest in a laptop cooler that sits under the laptop. They run off a USB port and they will help keep the laptop cooler. HEAT is the biggest killer of laptops. Here's one I use:
