anyone run wires through the firewall?

okay so i got a B&M Shiftplus shift improvement kit and need to run wire through the firewall. Found a great how to on the cobalt site but the rubber gromet they use (located behind the gas pedal for them) was not there for us when i looked. (didn't look to hard, been really slammed so hardly any time) Wires need to tap into the harness for the tranny so a gromet on the driver side is ideal but the know of any would help.

So does any one know where i could poke a wire through without drilling?
any info would sure be helpful and save me time from hunting for one.
thanks.

also, guess i can ask in this post to...
Any one know of any way to lower the passenger seat since it sits higher than the driver. or at least lower the back part of the seat?

thanks again

I installed an Ooogah horn in mine, and ran wires through the firewall for the switch. I used a grommet located behind the "turtle shell" on top of the engine, slightly to the right side of center, and close to the top. Very easy to get to from the engine, but a bit tough from the interior, since it is so high, but still not bad. Hope it helps.

BTW you won't be able to see the grommet from the engine bay, but just feel around and you will find it. Also there is not a lot of other things around in the way, so you have some room to maneuver your hands.

Drivers side near the brake booster.

I used a metal coat hanger and "chiseled" the tip some. SHoved it thorugh away from the other wiring that goes though. Then look under the dash above the pedals. Pull it though.
