So for those of you using generic seat covers, how do you get around the arm rest? What specific brand/style do you have? I've gone through 3 different kinds and none of them fit right, even ones saying they accommodate armrests. I really don't want to have to pay $200 for a pair but I really want to get something more than just seat cushions to protect the leather.

You beat me to the punch because I was just going to ask the same question since I also have the seats with armrests. I haven't found any that's relatively inexpensive. Anyone got any ideas? (Other than cutting a hole in the side of the seat cover)

As I said, I used the sheepskin covers from Costco, removed the armrests, installed the covers and re-mounted the armrests...

No problems...

Sadly I am no where near handy enough to be removing the armrests on my 3 week old HHR

Not available at Costco.ca .... apparently, we Canadians are not good enough to get seat covers from Costco

I wanted to protect the seats also, and it makes for a more
comfortable ride. I drive 25,000 miles per year.

I looked and discovered that Costco does not carry the covers currently. The staff told me that they come and go throughout the year. Mine are cut out to allow the armrests to function. I paid approx. $80.00 for the pair.

I found these, but you would have to cut a hole for the armrest bolt.. The armrests are very easy to remove / replace. A plastic cover over the bolt and it's a snap to unscrew and re-install.

Look Here ---> http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002AUE806

These covers come in natural and charcoal color. Click the small pic of the gray cover below
the main picture.
