Ahh the creative juices are flowing..looks like the cobalt and other armrests shown mount to the console so it would have to be fabbed somehow. I only care to share my armrest with my Honey and it would be wide enough for us. Sleeper your right, I can do this. Once it warms up a little I'm going to grab an armrest from the boneyard and get to work! Keep the ideas coming guys. In the mean time I rest my forearm between the 2 armrests, hand on my autoshifter, READY TO STRIKKKE!!

here's what I was going to do. Take a single nylon stocking, wedge a small tubular-shaped pillow between the two arm-rests and slide the stocking over the two arm rests. The stocking would be tight enough to stay on, and hold the pillow in between the arm rests.

I only have to flip mine up a bit to aid in fastening my seat belt.
Both would flip up together...the passenger seat always sits in the same parallel to the driver's seat anyway, and if I needed to move one seat, slip the nylon off, and yank the small pillow.

Cool! That'll probably work if your passenger seat stays stationary. I want the single wider armrest connected to drivers seat so not be concerned about pass. seat position.

How much was the arm restand what is the part number? How does it install?

I think I may have an idea for lowering the seat in the rear a couple inches by pulling the support under the rear seats and fabing a replacement bar that drops lower under the seats. Aside from that I've concluded a major contributor to the drivers discomfort is the lack of comfortable arm rests. It's impossible to rest my arm on the door sill and the arm rest is too far away and hard as titanium. I'm researching for a way to mount an arm rest on the door and then boost up the right side arm rest. If I can get my arms comfortable I think that will solve 70% of the battle to bring comfort to the drivers seat. Such a nice car with a head scratching poorly thought out drivers seat. Sort of like a good looking girl with a big pimple on her nose.
