Auto lock/unlock

Hello all, we own a 2006 LT. Just bought it, mint condition etc etc. However, we have found one thing we do NOT like. When we put the vehicle in park, it automatically unlocks all the doors.

This is a security issue here in the Houston area. This is a carjacker, robber, rapist etc.. dream come true.

Is there a way to bypass this?

Thanks, IBDCAPTAIN

This is probably explained in the Operators Manual. It is in the 2008. To keep the HHR in mint condition you really do need to follow the manual.

The manual is available as a download and I think you will find the link in a "Sticky" on one of these boards.

The setting can be changed using the DIC function controls on the left spoke of the steering wheel. You should be able to change it to unlock all, or just the driver's door.

Here is the location for the owner manuals...........

to the site from another Texan. If you've got the owners manual, it explains how to change the settings through the DIC
