Auto Start Issue

Hello All,

So far I have 13,600 miles on my 2006 HHR. 3x today I attempted to use the auto start feature and all 3x the car would start and turn off a second later. It sounded like a cold start. Has anyone experienced this issue before? Any advice? I guess I should make a service appt.

I haven't had any problems and I use my a lot.

Today as our church was letting out, I pointed the fob at the window, and sure enough the car was running when we got out there!

Mine has 8,000 miles amd I have had no issues, it always seems to work, but I did exoerience what was like the ignition staying in the start position for just a second or so today, so I am headed to teh dealer to discuss it...

So you were thinking about your HHR while you were in church

Supposedly the remote start fob is capable of working at distances up to 200 feet (or so). A few times it just wouldn't work. A few others, it started and shut right off. I've had things reprogrammed twice. I haven't used it since it got warm here. (Oh yeah.....I have the 2.2 the TSB is for the 2.4)

Have your HHR reflashed per the TSB. I haven't had any problems since I had mine reflashed.

Thanks guys. I did read the manual and it did mention that. I was close to the car and it still caused that problem. I guess I will have it reflashed at the Captain Suggested
