Automatic Car Wash / Mud Flap? being hit Noise?
Well
Kind of a different ? here but everytime I go through the local Delta Sonic Car Wash I am hear a definent noise on the right side of my HHR
This noise is not present when I take my wifes vehicle through.
The manager said it was simply the tire cleaners touching the tires and rim.
Obviously that is not the case since I do not hear the noise when I am in my wifes vehicle.
But the manager may be on to something since I Recentley installed the Hard plastic Factory HHR mud flaps (which fit and look really nice by the way)
I am thinking there tire cleaning machine may be hitting the wheels and tires?
I even see a small mark where it may be hitting.
I know its a long shot but has anyone else heard or experienced this noise on their HHR with Flaps in A Delta Sonic type car wash?

You mean the mudflaps? If so, pull the mudflaps off and run thru again - easy!!

I was thinking of pulling the flaps also but all the threads I saw about how these flaps like to wear on the body I put double sided tape on where they touch the body. I can pull them off just be a little bit harder. I might try and paint a lighter color with a paint pen on the one that is getting hit and also the ones that are not then run it through pretty sure the paint will hold up except where it is hitting.
