My experience with shift kits is that they help transmissions especially in high performance conditions where heat from slippage due to high hp would be a problem. I dont think it would hurt in any case as it would lower trans. temps.

I just checked on the B&M website, and it says that it is only for older vehicles-up to 98, nothing newer. Is there a different model for the HHR?

What tranny model do we have?

It's a 2 wire install, splice into the transmission harness, easy. And you're right, there is not a listing for an HHR model. The B&M part number is the same for late 90s Chevy trucks and Camaros, I was sceptical becuase of this at first but It's been great for months. First heard of this from the J-body crowd, and then an HHR buddy tried it and it worked very well. That's all the convicing I needed. Love it and it was an easy install. PM me if you need specifics on the model.

Did you have your car tuned? I did and was wondering how the 2 would affect each other.

I am still on the hedge with this-I just called B&M and they only have tested it in vehicles up to 1998. They said it could possibly cause computer damage in newer vehicles. And they do not have any plans on testing it on newer models. Any thoughts on this???

No tune, just CGS and IMCO.

Only $32 to get rid of the sluggish shifting in your automatic trans. I ordered one and will give you all a report once I get it installed. Forgive me if this has been covered already. I did a search on the product and found nothing. heres the link to that post:
