Battery...

I was just check my HHR out a little today, and when I was checking the spare to make sure it was in good shape, I noticed that I have a battery in the spare tire compartment of my car. Is this normal, because I also have a battery under the hood? I know that this HHR used to be a rental car for a local company here where I live, could that be the reason? Is it supposed to have two? If you know anything about this, please let me know. Thanks!

All HHRs have battery in rear as yours.. Normal.

Under the hood you are looking at the fuse box cover, beside it does have a red + cap, that's where you can charge it.. And on the driver side strut top is a nut marked - for a ground ...

It's the remote battery access..

If you try to jump start the HHR using what appears to pos and neg on the fuse box cover you will blow the fuse for the power steering. Use the above method using the strut top for neg.
