Battery

Can I use a non vented battery if it's the same dimensions and cca ?

No.
Your battery is mounted inside the interior of your car.
But then again what type/brand of battery are you going to use ?

I don't know...I was thinking a sealed battery ...HHR batteries are so expensive

Batteries make hydrogen gas. In my inexpert opinion it would be difficult to accumulate a high enough concentration for an explosion, but if it happened it would be extremely dangerous. Use the correct battery and make sure the vent is correctly connected and unobstructed.

It's been said that an AGM battery does not need venting. Do your research.

So why do you think batteries in cars have to be vented now ?
Way back when, early VW's had a non vented outside battery under the rear seat.
Did it go boom ? No. But not a great idea.
Neither was the optional gasoline heater for the car. Lol.

My 1973 MGB GT had 2 6 bolt batteries underneath the little seat , never had a problem.
