I just checked the battery in there..it's a AAA group 47 no vent hose at all..I bought the car 7yrs ago from a local Chevy dealer ..battery has no signs of failing but I don't want to get caught with my pants down

If you think the price of a regular HHR battery is too high, wait till you start pricing an AGM one.

I agree.
Corvettes too had batteries in the interior.
I'm sure other manufactures did also, but with insurance companies and all the legal BS today I guess that's why.

What is group AAA 47? Never heard of that.

Its a battery put out by AAA insurance...they have roadside battery installation... It's their house brand on a name band battery

I had an AAA group 47 battery installed, when my OEM battery died in 2011, it died in 2018, so 7 years of service.

Look closely on you 47 battery, many have the hole on the ends for a vent. They don't always come with the straw.

Wal mart had good prices I hate to say

But you have to deal with the core charge and service desk PIA but if you hit it at the right time...

Mine is a group 47 AGM. Perfect fit. From Sears. Sam's Club used to have them too.
