What does our cars have?? I thought we had a BCM and PCM, but everytime I use the term BCM with a person they keep correcting me and saying I must mean TCM.
BCM=body control module, ???????????? what does it do?
TCM=transmission control module, ????????????

I am very confised and someone is using it against me. Can someone PLEASE help me out?

We have a:
BCM = Body Control Module.
ECM = Engine Control Module.
TCM = Transmission Control Module.
PCM = Powertrain Control Module (Used prior to our vehicles which was basically an ECM and a TCM together).
EBCM = Electronic Brake Control Module (For ABS equipped vehicles).
And there are others that aren't important.

- LFWCM = left front window control module
- RFWCM = right front window control module
- LRWCM = left rear window control module
- RRWCM = right rear window control module
- FWWCM = front windshield wiper control module
- RWWCM = rear windshield wiper control module
- ARDCM = acoustical reception device control module
... which includes sub-modules- AMBCM = amplitude modulation band control module
- FMBCM = frequency modulation band control module
... OK, I'm tired of typing, and the list is getting silly

I think a TCM, by an internet search. I wont' know until Monday because I have the weekend off. Yay!!
If it is mounted where the ECM is it's a TCM if it's a BCM it's the interior electrical center (fuse box).
Mike give me your last 8 of the VIN and I will find out what part number BCM and TCM you should have.

So my TCM got fried, not my BCM.
