Been gone a long time but might be back

I am currently at the end of a 3 YR lease on a Rav4. We gave our son the HHR the end of 2009. Wife just got a Toyota Matrix she loves. I am in the market for a car so i can go to work we need the additional income.
I am looking for something that I can haul my 2 60lb dogs around in when needed and get better than 12 miles to the gal. I was looking at a Honda Element but even the 2003's in decent shape are expensive. I then started looking at HHR's and looks like I can get a good one for less than $10,000. I'd like a std shift one this time. It will most likely be my last car since I'll be 71 in April.
Wish me luck

Welcome back to the site. Glad you could return.

It looks like I joined this site (12/09) at about the same time you left after giving your son the first HHR.
Hope you're able to find a new one. Good Luck.

Welcome back.

While I only joined a little less than 2 years ago, I, too, took a short hiatus. Mainly due to too much to do last year and not enough play time!

One of the main reasons we went with a HHR was to haul our furkids around. At the time back in 2011 we had 3 shelties. We lost one in Nov of 2011 and picked up 2 others in Feb of 2012, bringing us up to 4. We just lost another abouy 10 days ago, so we're back down to 3. The HHR is perfect in hauling the girls around to the groomers, vet or just for a ride!

Hope you find a good HHR in your neighborhood for the right price!
