Best Car Covers

I'm going to buy a car cover for my antique car and was wondering what all of you are using for covers. I don't want one of these junk $39.95 covers, but California Car Covers are a bit rich for me. Any ideas or recommendations?

Ranges from mid 100's up to 400. IF I was looking for a HHR cover, this is where I would probabaly go. Lots of customizable options.

I'm also looking for a good car cover, but, unfortunately, customcarcovers.com makes NO car cover for the SS.

Well we used this company and I believe they offer the SS version also! They run in the $200.00 to $360.00 shipped! When "QUALITY" is the only option!

AJochum, I'm going to agree with MRS. DLVRNIT with calcarcover.com. Yes, they are a bit high in price, but the header in your thread says best car covers. I have one for the HHR, completely weatherproof, used almost every day, and one that has flannel on the inside for my Z-28 which sees outside the garage only on weekends......O.C. HHR

90% of the covers are offered in the same Kinberly Clarke Fabric. So material wise most covers are the same.

The main difference is the cut of the covers.

Just make sure to buy the right material for the storage conditions and make sure it has the pockets for the mirrors and or antenna.

Don't be fooled that some are a lot better than others. Just make sure to buy a good one made of the KC material and keep away from the universal fit.

Not most good covers are no 100% moisture free. They have to breath and some may get a little moisture under them in wet weather. If they breath right they will dry very fast and not harm anything. If they do no breath it will trap moisture and it will hurt the car.

Thanks for all of the responses. Still looking around and trying to decide my actual needs. Car will be inside 95% of the time, but would sort of like something that could survive a rainshower at a car show. There is a lot to consider on these, including breathability, UV, inner-softness, moisture, compactness, etc. Then you get into the antenna - will they customize it to provide for it, etc. Finally, get out your wallet. Am kind of hung up on a $225 budget.

Well we've had ours for about a week and think the cover is as nice if not nicer than o'l DLVRNIT ! Not sure but I think the material is of there own patent so if you need KC material check with there customer service first! Ours was $365.00 shipped to our door! We ordered the top of the line Super Weave, wooooo...... I must say it fits like a glove!

Nice cover DLVRNIT! I have had the same Superweave cover for over 2 Years now and could not be happier. Use it almost every day unless we are in for some Santa Ana winds. Gets dicey when the wind blows. HHR is garaged at night......O.C. HHR

I think it is a Kinberly Clark material like the others.

Cal Covers do have nice cuts and they usally fit well. It is a good family buisness.
