Bicycle rack

I am picking up a 2010 HHR 1LT as part of a motorhome (MH) package and would like to add a bike rack for two bicycles to the HHR. I don't like the MH ladder racks I've seen. BTW, the HHR does not have a hitch otherwise I would use my existing bike rack.

Thanks much in advance for any assistance with this request.

Why not put a hitch on your HHR ?
I like the Curt Hitch the best but Drawtite is also OK.
Look on EBay or Froogle.com for a better deal.

The Curt is easy to install and easier to put the bikes on the hitch rack then hoisting them up on the roof rack

Thanks for the reply. Who would've thought Walmart would be the place.

I read that you don’t want a ladder rack

Ahhh, that is for a RV - not a car.

Yeah, I'm confused.
1st post says wants a rack for the HHR. Then they post a link for a rack that attaches to a RV ladder.
So. Which one are you looking for ?

Well I would prefer the hitch but having two left thumbs need it to be an easy install. The curt requires moving exhaust, drilling bigger holes so that's out. This one doesn't mention that labor. What do you think?

Oh, I performed more research and my initial impression of MH ladder bike racks was correct - they bend under the weight of two bikes.

I think you will find that the DrawTite hitch will require the same install process.
Maybe you could contact DrawTite and find a way to see the Install instructions.
Or go to YouTube and find an HHR hitch install to watch how it is done.
That may answer the question on the DrawTite hitch.
