One caveat, in some states, the vehicle codes have been modified to make disabling the DRL's on vehicles so equipped a violation subject to a fine or "Fix It" ticket.
So you might want to pull up your state's Code online.

Welcome to the forum.
I am a BIG fan of DRLs every time I see a car on a rainy day that doesn't have their lights on because they blend in to the road. You would be surprised how little the color effects this phenomenon. I am of a school that all new cars should have some type of DRLs.
