Bike Rack?

Bike Rack?
My Premiere Edition is equipped with the roof rails, but not the optional cross bars.
Does anyone (Thule, Yakima, etc.) make a bike rack for this car?
One of the reasons I bought a wagon type model is to put a bike rack on it. Everywhere I go in Champaign, Illinois states there is not one available.
Help!

there was a recent post on here about someone using a thule (i think) system, but it was with their mounted rails and everything.
I don't know if you could use the OEM crossbars since they curve in the middle of i recall, plus they are hellua expensive.
I am putting a hitch on the back of mine pretty much just for a bike rack. Modding my current rack this weekend to be a 1.25" instead of a 2" and then getting the hitch soon. I have a way to hopefully hide it a bit too since i hate the look of it back there

I do a hitch rig on mine, would rather not do the roof thing. It's more noisy and messy looking when you don't need it.

Two things to consider, how many bikes do you need to carry? How tired are you after a ride? I wouldn't want to have to lift a heavy bike to the roof risking damage because I'm tired. I went with this one ( http://www.performancebike.com/shop/...tegory_ID=4411), you don't have to take anything apart. They usually have them on sale for less plus theres discount all the time.

The roof is always a safer place for a bike. Especially if it is an expensive one. However, the hitch is far easier of the two to use. I have used both over the years for my bikes and with the HHR I use the hitch. Easier to take the rack on and off and the same applies for the bike. Plus I don't travel to far with the bike on the car. If I did travel far with the bikes then back on the roof it would go. Just way safer for an expensive bike.
