Thumbs up The Bikers wave, we should too! Idea guys

So my idea is when we pass another HHR we should do a thumbs up down low or a low two finger wave like the bikers. We're gonna do it anyway I don't care we'll see how many returns we get!! I got rid of the bike so.....

alway thought about this since my brother-in-law used to own a jeep. However most people i seen in hhrs would probably have no idea. Plus our small windows make it kind of hard to see that sort of thing.

not knocking the idea since it has went through my head more the once.

This has been attempted since the HHR was introduced......without much success. Many threads are on this forum B****ing about the lack of enthusiasm by other owners. I had one owner who I talked with later, at a traffic light say, "it ain't no frickin Corvette". And, when I even try to initiate a wave, the other owner isn't even looking. Maybe with more owners now, it's possible but....as a good Ole friend of mine says......

"I do wish you luck, my friend"

LOL! Snoopy was blunt, but sadly is correct. I've had my HHR going on 3 years now and can probably count on one hand the number of times I have gotten a wave back -- my first was from an SS. And I'm usually waving with my hand out of the sunroof, so I know they can see me.

It's all good...kinda weird to see so many on the road these days.

Well, I always wave on the bike, so I also do it in my lil trucklet too, the few waves I do get back are generally by HHR owners that have obvious mods on them, also. So I know they are 'tuned in'...
And they're 'eyeing my ride' as I eye theirs......

Local Tattoo shop has a Panel (also) with side logo graphics, we always exchange waves & Big grins..

Never say never....I'm not giving up hope..

I've been doing the "flash" with the headlights. Always got a response from Porsche guys when I had a Boxster ("the flash" is the law amongst Porsche drivers). I've gotten one response from a nice orange LT. Most HHRs I see are base models driven by people who probably don't recognize the SS front end.

You know it's funny, I've heard the Vette comment before too, when I get the Vette out though I generally ignore those guys, I don't mean to be rude but it's generally C4's and they're a dime a dozen as I feel we are alot more exclusive {beings there's fewer of us than any model Vette} but I've also come to include the Balt guys too and I've noticed that's where I get the most response

I have only seen around 5-10 HHR's in general around me here. I know with the GTO we would almost all wave to each other. I miss it, lol.

Once i get my SS I will be sure to wave.

Howdy!

Waving? Hmm.. That would be cool if we all recognized & acknowledged each other. I like that about bikers & boaters.
I thought about flashing the lights but the only people I see driving HHR's around here are little old hippie ladies.
In my zeal to meet other HHR owners this happened to me once: "Hey, I like your HHR!" "Oh, it's a rental car? Sorry to bother you.."
