Warning.... Thread resurrection in progress.
I got a thumbs up just a little bit ago from an older gentleman driving almost the exact same ride as mine here in town and I returned the same........
Not sure if he realized I have hair down to the middle of my back and was blasting some ZZ Top until I passed by though....

I'm glad we all think the same. Probably why we're all in this group. I've thought about this too, and ALWAYS look at other HHR drivers, and would gladly give a thumbs up, but people are always looking forward. Not once in 3 weeks have I had another HHR driver look my way, and I probably see 5-7 a day. It's almost as if they don't care what car they're driving (and are 1/2 men, 1/2 women, by the way).
To me, it's as cool as an old Mustang or any other cool old car. Not sure what it is about this car, but I haven't "loved" a car in over 20 years. I think part of the reason is that I've always wanted an old classic car or a ZZ-Top style car, but having a family (and a job) I also needed a daily driver, and I got that and more in the HHR, also getting what I consider to be good gas mileage.

I wave (thumbs up ) at every HHR i see... used to do the same on the Harley when I had it. I think some of the problem may be that while there are a lot of folks on here, we are the only ones who think of the HHR as something special. I think there are lots of other owners (obviously sadly mistaken) who consider their HHR as just another car, so won't or don't wave. Just my humble opinion...
