"Lightly smoked" chrome!

They need to have a talk with the vendor - it's not dark enough...

Cool

I have to agree with Sindy too, it would probably look better on white...

I finally saw one today in person. While I didn't think much of it overall, I really liked the look of the wheels.

I thought it was strange that the only thing in the interior which was not dark was the trim around the window switches. It was grey/silver. I think if the had done the waterfall that also, it would look so much better.

If you're really interested, I believe the name of the parent company is Lacks Enterprise. I think they're in Grand Haven, or Grand Rapids, or Grand Blanc, Michigan. A subsiderary produces the plastic chrome grills, etc. They hold the patent on the "Spinelle" Metal Process, which is what they are calling "black chrome".

Yea I agree, maybe that's why just OK, Maybe on a White or Orange HHR.......
Maybe a Dark Gray........Black sorta hides the Black IMO.

I finally got to see the Fall Edition up close and personal, and I don`t think the grill came out right.
The dealer had two of them, a couple cars apart. It was sorta overcast, so there was no real glare. The finish on both looked like another spray would`ve done the trick. But they did look like someone had just sprayed them with a transparent smoke.
There was a definate streaking affect, on the main top bar, on both.
Overall they both looked fine, but GM really must`ve been in a hurry to get the grills.

Of course I like it a lot on my CFM PE HHR...where it works very well with the kind of smoky hue that the CFM paint picks up. The black chrome effect is very noticable on it to my eyes. But you're right about it not being so obvious on the black Fall Edition...in fact I just chatted with an owner in a parking lot today.
