blend door actuator
ok guys, been having this problem for awhile now, seems what I have found on here is pointing to the blend door actuator, I've looked for new post but having a lil trouble finding it, can yall point me in the right direction, 06 HHR LT I have to move cool control up a few clicks to get cold air then slowly move down to cold over time to get the cool affect, looking for a point in the right direction.

Blend door actuator
ok donbrew I changed the temp blend door actuator (drivers side) with no avail, AC still works good but takes spells when it will blow hot air, move the temp control up a few clicks and in time it will start working and you can move back to the coldest setting for cold air, it seems to do it more in town than on the road, any pointers to look for, one note it has been doing this for several years, but son is off to the military and would like to repair upon his return. all pointers welcome.

I don't know, never had to do it.
Could be the switch. Could be installer error. Could be the door is binding.
The way it works: The heater core is always hot the A/C coil is cold when turned on. Outside air or recirc air comes into the box over the cool side, if the temp selector is moved toward the red the blend door moves to blend the hot side and cold side. You are controlling the air not the hot water, like in the old days.
The actuator is basically a step motor controlled by the rheostat switch.
