Cat--Chevy added this piece on the 08's due to damage from no protection down in that area (Brad can correct me on that).

You can find lower grille's for a lot less then that--I think Don and Kim found theirs on eBay for about $30-$50. I paid too much for mine, but do like it and I am always surprised at how often I have to clean it--it collects a lot of junk on it!

I've done a few different ones.....

Started with the screen (gutter mesh).

Name:  Picture011.jpg
Views: 34
Size:  71.8 KB

Then decided to go with the billet type....

Name:  Picture026-1.jpg
Views: 57
Size:  92.7 KB

Then swapped the grill and lower out with a matching set....

Size:  72.3 KB

Grill didn't fit well. Lower fit better, but decided to go back to the sock and billet set up.

Also switched out the aftermarket fogs with stock one....

I have plans to do something else with the billet, but having quite made up my mind on what yet....

I have a 2009 and it looks like they put some protection on the condenser. Anyone else see that on theirs?
