Brake shutter?

Brake shutter?
Hey, New to the group here. I was just curious if anyone is experiencing a shuttering when braking? My 2006 has 4,000 and it started this horrible pulsating shutter when I apply the brakes.

Not sure what that could be, but since it's under warranty, I'd run it by the dealership to have it checked out. There has been cases where rotors have been warping around 10K miles or so. Not sure if this is the cause, but regardless, if it has anything to do with brakes, I wouldn't delay.

a good way to know if it is rotors warping is to get it to speed then make sure there is no one around u and get on the brakes lightly at first
let off and then try harder. if it shutters when u brake and then quits the minute u let off then pretty sure it is the rotors
take it to the dealer and tell them

Biggest cause... Idiots with impact wrenches!!

More warped rotors are caused by overtorque with an impact than any other cause. In our shop we only use "tork stix" on all lug nuts, these are torque limiting extensions that make it impossible to exceed their rated torque. Whenever we get a vehicle in for a brake pulsation, 90% of the time they are 'way over torqued, sometimes 3 times the spec! Never let anyone rotate your tires or do anything with your rims unless they either torque them by hand or use torque limiting tools.
