Yes this is an old thread but I've got info about this year's event.

Me and a few others went to a charity event last summer by a Gold Wing club at the speedway. It was a BLAST!!
5 laps for $10!
I contacted the club prez and this is the response I got:

We will be meeting next week (hopefully) to confirm a date for this
event. We will keep you informed. As soon as we get a date, we will let
you know. Our problem right now is that they are supposed to redo the
pits after the March race and we don't when they will have it finished but
we will let you know.
Thanks!

As I hear more I'll be sure to keep this updated for anyone, like me, who hopes to attend!

Hey all! Just thought I'd give you an update on this event. This is an email I got last night from a member of the GW club that sponsors this event.

Mike,
We have finally got a confirmation on our date. It will be September
8th. We couldn't get it any sooner because after this Sunday's race they
are going to tear out the pit area and do a complete change. They are
supposed to even change the track! That ought to make it more fun come
September! I'll send you a flyer when we get them printed.
Thanks!
Butch and Chris Adkins
This was a great time last year. Hopefully we can get a bunch of us there this year.

WHOO HOO. When we get closer to the date, let's try to get a time and cruise the track and town.

I remember last year. With any speed at all, when you come out of the turn, the track tries it's best to push you into the wall. If we race, we might "swap paint".

When I talked to them last year they said they would let group of up to 10 take the laps at the same time.

Like Dave said, it is a tight track!!
