Broken HHR
#11
The insurance company got back to me and my HHR is a write off. It was going to cost $6,000 to fix it. It is very unfortunate that this happened. It was a good little car and I did enjoy driving it. We could potentially buy it back but by the time we fix what needs to be fixed and do the other body work and re-paint then we would be just putting more money into it and still have an older vehicle. Our HHR was the newest vehicle that we owned. We currently have a 1990 GMC Sierra Side Step; 1986 Iroc Z-28 Camaro; and a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche. The Avalanche is in Alberta where my husband works and the other two only come out of the garage in the summer time, lol. So we decided to buy a 2015 GMC Terrain Denali. It will be something newer for us and will have some nice features, like leather seats, sunroof, and heater mirrors. The Terrain is being shipped from Quebec as they don't have any around in the Maritime provinces (New Brunswick). We got a good deal on it so that's what we decided to go with. I wanted something that I felt comfortable driving and that the husband like as well. We could have went with another HHR but it would still be an older car. We were due for something a little more new. We were just hoping for another 3-4 years with the HHR.
It has great getting to know you all. This has been a great forum. I got some great advice and lots of help when needed with the discussion boards. Here is hoping the HHR makes a comeback in the near future :)
