^-- but nothing listed by the GM VP said you have to have a different spoiler or bumpers to be considered an SS model..
Look at the Camaro. LS1 z28 vs SS. Only real visual difference was the ram-air hood and some badges. Does it have specific front and rear facias and a spoiler ONLY found on SS models? No....
HVRod is going on the generalization that an SS model has to stop better, go faster, and turn better. He is accomplishing that. Those of you who keep berrating him are just not getting the point. So what if there's an SS version all ready coming out? He is making one for himself based on the GM VP's explanation. He already has his own version of what an SS should be. Now he is making a panel. Either applaud it or get off the high horse that this isn't a "real" HHR SS.

I really don't care either way, but I think what some people are thinking is that if he was going by definitions, he could add a wagging tail and floppy ears to the car and call it a dog. It's not a dog. By extension, some people are thinking that even if he mods his car by following the definition of what an SS is, it's still not going to be an SS... it's a modded LS or LT. Again, I'm not taking a stand, I'm just trying to explain what others may be thinking. It's his car and his cash; whatever makes him happy :)

I can tell you one thing.... I bet you GM will still have a speed limiter on the SS HHR -- After my reflash -- I won't... And when I had my G35 Coupe.
When I had that reflash, the tuner found out that Nissan had also limited the throttle opening to only 80% so everyone was getting the full cabilities of it..
(Because it was fly by wire setup -- like the HHR) So a reflash will still do you good..
