Bumper Protective Mat

I have been looking for a solution to keep from screwing up the top of my HHR SS bumper and didn't want to get the factory part which isn't for the HHR SS anyway..........
I ran into a friend of mine this weekend he showed me this VW part.....
anyway we test fit it to the HHR SS bumper and it works great!!
I ordered 1 tonight

Good Idea!

I have the factory HHR pad but to make it work you need to put two strips of trim tape to make it high enough to fit the SS bumper without hitting the paint with the plastic.

I might have to check this pad out.

You can do a google search on Bumper Bib. There is a company that makes a universal one that attaches with velcro. Or my version, a nice sized towel that is laid down on top of the divider, extending over the bumper, then lay the carpet mat on top. Fold up the section laying on the bumper inside the car, close the hatch. It is there when you need it, it is soft and wont scratch, you can trim it to fit, color match it, wash it, etc. And it is cheap.
