When buying a used SS can members give me an idea what to look for
concerning the Turbocharger. I will be buying an '08, '09, or '10.

Did the build an SS panel?

Any advise welcome. Did they change a lot between 08 and 10?

SS panel, only made in 2009. They only made like 216 of these.
2010's only came with ebony interior. All 2010's came with sunroof and RPD
(no pillar boost gauge) and no luggage rack option.
As far as the turbo. It's hard to do a visual. Best bet is to drive it and listen for any unusual noises when it goes into boost. These turbos are relatively quiet, so any loud high pitched or rattling noises could mean problems.
Also check to see if it has the GMTU(turbo upgrade) Stock is usually 14-18 lbs. Upgrade is around 19-24.

If you can buy a certified pre owned that way you have
One year bumper to bumper warranty and the free oil changes
And free tire rotstions don't hurt either.
When I was looking a bit iver a year ago the dealers where selling at the same price or lower
If you have any specific questions post them or feel free to send a message
Some will not have matching front seats I think it was an option in 09 but all 2010 have matching performance seats.
