A/C Gas Mileage ?

I have an 06-5speed and get about 22.5 MPG Mixed City and Highway Driving. Without the A/C I Average about 25 MPG. Is this normal ?

It all depends on your driving style. We have an 06 2.2 auto and when I drive I can get about 24.5 with the A/C on in town and around 28 on the highway. My wife gets about the same as you are getting. She's a little hotter from redlight to redlight than I am. We live in Bakersfield so the A/C is rarely ever off.

Once I tried to see if I could reach that 30mpg highway rating that was on the window sticker. I set the cruise on 55 on a flat stretch of interstate with the A/C off. Amazingly I got over 32 mpg. Certainly can't do that in normal driving though.

I have 07 auto 2.4. With air on, I got 30+ on highway at speed 65mph, and 29 at speed 75mph. In daily life driving mixed highway and city, I got ~24mpg.

I think that the a/c hurts while accelerating (changing speed more than 2-3mph) but no so much on cruise driving on flat highways . Drive 58-62 people. Don't waste time with seafoam, octane, or other such nonsense. PLEASE.

If you don't get better than 36.1mpg over an entire tank (all highway), or average 470 gallons between fill ups (60%highway 40%city) you BETTER LISTEN TO ME.
