I don't know how many people are happy with Bob's parts and service but he has always treated me right. I know of several people that have purchased his visor and had someone else (body shops and custom shops) put it on THEIR way and bingo there goes the visor.
If you do it the way Bob says to do it, it WILL stay on. I have had mine up over 100 MPH without any problems.
I have been at his shop many times and you can't believe the STUPID questions he has to put up with.

See ya down the road

Bud, you can't believe the STUPID answers that some of us on this site have had to put up with from Bob! As a former SoCal Cruisers customer I AM happy with Bob's parts - it's quality stuff that Hharry is wearing proudly. My problem with Bob started when I moved from SoCal to Kentucky and ordered parts on my credit card. After months of no parts but plenty of excuses and finally downright lies (in order) #1: reimburse my credit card account, #2: send me a refund check, #3: issue refund via PayPal???, #4: send me a money order, #5: (see #2), #6: (see #4). In the end he stopped returning my calls and e-mails. Luckily my credit card company showed pity and issued me a credit but it appears that I'm one of the lucky ones here.
I've not heard about anyone doing business face-to-face with Bob getting screwed; only on out of state parts orders like mine and other's where he knows he's out of reach. All I was able to do was add my complaint to SoCal Cruisers lengthy BBB rap sheet.
My advice to anyone who covets Bob's parts/services - drive to San Bernardino, Ca. and pay cash.

Kind of glad someone bumped this thread. I had found his site and was considering purchasing some products from there, but seeing as I am out of state I also have to reconsider.

I can't do anything but agree with you . I've been in a 3 month ongoing battle with PT Boob over a set of fender skirts I ordered and never received and a refund for them which I have yet to receive. That man has more excuses, my computer broke down , they shipped such & such a date, my computer had a virus, one of my customers is supposed to pay me so I can pay you. So far these have all been lies as near as I can tell. This has been going on for 3 months.

I can't believe it! Today I received a money order via UPS for the full amount of my refund. I will consider myself one of the lucky ones. I have learned a valuable lesson from this. CHECK OUT THE OUTFITS YOU ARE THINKING OF BUYING AFTER MARKET PARTS FROM ...........

He used that computer excuse on me several times. I too received a refund over a year later after threating a law suit.

FYI ALERT!

It appears that the name has been changed to protect the guilty - SoCal Cruisers is now ABC-Designs. Everything else on the website is the same.

The BBB was mentioned earlier in this thread. Just a quick take on my part: the BBB is in business FOR business. They are not a consumer-advocacy group. I tried dealing with them for a botched hardwood floor install on my home. They were no help and closed the case before anything got resolved. Just FYI.

Very Glad I contacted a few very Up-Standing Members here first & asked some questions..

I'll not mention their names (they know who they are)....
But Thank You Guys & Gal.

I thought I found the place for cool aftermarket goodies.. But now I'll pass,

& Just say thanks for keeping my pennies in my pocket. (for now)..
