Can a man who is 6-1...

...just wondering if someone with an HHR could do me a favor and measure the back cargo area, from the back of the front seats to the tailgate (with the back seats folded flat, of course).

I was wondering if I bought one if I could take it camping with my gf. That would mean if it's 73" or longer, I would fit!

Wonder what it measures from corner to corner as well, just in case I had to try and squeeze in there diagonally...

thanks in advance!

Cool

Maybe you can check this section of the HHR site on chevrolet.com...they have some information on there about the dimensions...HOPE THIS HELPS!

I tried but it doesn't have the dimensions of the cargo area with the seats down. Just the rear legroom, cargo capacity in cu. ft. etc.
the darn HHR brochure doesn't have the rear dimensions either. Hmmm. seems like this would be easy to find.

yeah I've read that you can fit an 8' ladder in with the front seat pushed down. But that doesn't let me know if I can sleep back there!

Camping in HHR

YES, it can be done. :twothumbs I am 6' 3" and my wife is 5' 2" tall. As was mentioned in the last post, if you move the passenger seat all the way forward and fold it down flat, and push the drivers seat forward as far as it will go, she fits on the driver side and I fit on the passenger side. We also bought a twin size air mattress. Without the air mattress, it's very uncomfortable.

COOL! This is what I wanted to hear!
We already have the twin-size airmattress.
Now all's I need is an HHR!
EDIT: I have Queen size air mattress.
Prolly won't fit!

I am 6'3" at 200 lbs and I do not have the room to lay down and sleep in my HHr over night, But then again I would never camp out again since I left the Military. Hotel is the place for me. Good Luck Bud!
