I was hoping for loaded 5M black/black w/the performance option, with as close to zero miles as possible (no test drives).

Perhaps you're right though, that I might find what I'm looking for on a lot somewhere. I haven't really begun the search just yet.

I would search for what you want and ignore your feelings for your dealer friend. The way dealers are dropping he may be gone soon. In my town we only have a Dodge dealership left - all others are now gone. FORD - Chevy - GM – Nissan, all gone. Sorry I’m so pessimistic.

I haven't 'officially' posted this yet, and I'm in Canada...but I have a 2007 HHR Panel, black (company decals have to be removed, no biggie). You'd have to add all the fancier stuff to it afterwards. $12,500 US would be just fine, but you'd have to get it into the USA somehow.

Just thought I would mention it...

Don't get crazy with the miles as they don't hurt a thing and if they same you a lot of waiting time. In a couple weeks your going to have many more on it anyway.

Mine had 200 miles because they drove it in from Dayton Ohio as it was on the showroom floor od the dealer there. The mileage was just the eaxct miles between that dealer and mine.

I too was going to wait for a 09 but the price I got on the 08 was too good and there was nothing on the 09 I really wanted or missed other than the new dome light or the pass perfromance seat. I have added the seat and will do the light this summer.

The performance dash was not worth the wait for me as my Aeroforce does the same thing and I would rather have the 6 disc changer vs the usb. I just burned 6 MP3 disc and have over 500 songs in the radio. I still can put my MP4 in for trips if I wish. The six MP3 are better for driving to work and not have to plug in the wires all the time.

Did you order something that doesn't exist as of this time?? That should really be the only excuse for GM not building it in that time period.

What did you order?
I ordered mine on 7-28-08 Red panel, red and ebony interior,5sp,RPD,sunroof,performance package and high performance audio, it just shipped on the 19th with an approx del. date of 4-10.
I'm aware of several others that have been shipped also so I don't understand what could be holding yours up.

Good luck
