Bought my 09, 2LT new. It's now 5 1/2 years old. Other than regular service and the ign. recall, I never had a bit of problems. It only has 28,400 miles on it though.

....looking for a decent repair facility

My wife would really like to keep this car instead of selling it, but I would like to find a competent garage with reasonable rates to fix the power window issue as well as the driver's side speaker/s sound loss........all occurred within a week. I would be willing to have this fixed to keep her happy. I no longer trust the dealers, I have been stung too often and won't go back, especially my local Chevy dealer. I know of a garage that I trust but am not sure whether they deal with electrical issues....I'll call them and ask.

so, it's not the patient it's the doctor!, I do hope you find someone to repair the speaker and the door window issue. I have a 2007 2.2 automatic, 180,000 miles no big issues, love the car, just that my wife keeps taking it so I have to stay in the house and recover.

try a search and see how easy it might be to do the repairs yourself if you have the tools and time !

I just had to replace the speakers in my 09 HHR as the left one quit working which does the chimes and warnings. They are not very hard to replace, I got mine from Crutchfield. They have excellent technical support. The dealer fixed the rust on the doors but I think that is what bothers me the most is the rust. It is starting to come back so I will try POR 15 or something like that for a more permanent repair.
