I was wondering does the roof antenna come off so I can run it thru a car wash?

It is kinda sticking up so not sure if the machine would hit it or not. ANyone had a problem with it getting damaged?

It comes off, but I have kept mine on in the car wash with now problems. If you are worried, it just unscrews. Others will probably chime it too.

I was worried about it too, but it survived fine the few times I went thru. I guess if it was a bit sutbbier it would make a diff, but I think it flexes enough that it makes it thru no problemo.

Touchless it is not a problem, the ones with the swabbers I'd be careful about. Most attended washes will unscrew it for you, and tape the back windsheild wiper to the window as well.

You can also "snap" off the short antenna on the back of the roof, by gently applting pressure to one side or another

I've probably had about 50 auto car washes ......the scrubber type with felt whips and big side rollers. The service personnel turn the soap application off by my request. Never remover the antenna. Never had a problem. But I guess it would depend on the car wash and the type of equipment.
