Certified GM Used Status

I've only owned my HHR for a few weeks, and I noticed that GM is offering a 100,000 mile powertrain warranty for all "GM Certified Used Vehicles". I called my dealership to ask if mine was considered Certified, and he told me that it wasn't and most dealerships don't do that anymore. It sounds to me like he was just feeding me a bunch of crap so I can't cash in on that deal. Anyone else have similar dealings?

It seems like a half truth. GM Certified vehicles are only available through certain dealerships not every dealership. The dealership you bought yours from probably isn't approved to sell GM Certified used vehicles so yours more than likely isn't GM Certified. For more info and participating dealerships check out the GM Certified website.

After talking about this to a dealership that we purchased a "Certified" used 06 Cobalt. We then discovered it was not a "GM Certifed" used car. Funny, it was at a Chevy dealership.

Seems like they offer it, but you will find it hard to find one.
