Changed headlamps for the first time...

Now, I like my HHR, but this is gotta be the most stupid way ever to change a headlight. It was the most un-enjoyable experience.

that is all.

Haven't done a headlight yet, but did the parking lights.

I feel your pain....

I haven't yet had the pleasure, but I have to agree, little to no thought went into that process. I mean, really, how much would it have cost to cut an access opening in the fender well, with a cover secured in place by tabs? I do not look forward to replaceing those lights.

That's what I was thinking! You've got to pull the wheel well back, reach in there, try and twist it w/ your had & wrist in such an awkward position, blindly... It's not like you take the 3 fasteners out and the thing pops out. You have to bend it out and hold it to reach in there.
NOT in good engineering job, IMHO. boo!

Not looking forward to this..... LOL! But still LOVE the ride :-) I feel your pain! I'll probably just change all the bulbs up front when I do change one to save headaches.

Unfortunately, I did...THEN read about how they don't last as long...

But..I did change out both of them. Oh well, I hope when they burn out when it's in WARM weather! <hoping for 1-1/2 year lifespan>

Strange, the Silverstars I put in my wifes almost 5 years ago, are still buring brightly. Possible something got on them with the tight install area.

It looks like the new Equinox has a little plug that comes out so you can change it easily...why can't we have one?!

I hope I have that luck then! It's my first experience with them..just heard they don't last as long due to burning hotter. Believe me, I DON'T wanna change them again anytime soon!
