Changed Headlight Bulbs

I just changed my headlight bulbs to Philips Xtreme Power H13's and they are great. They put out so much more light than stock without being a strange color. They are DOT approved. I got a great deal on them from ebay and couldn't pass them up.
I am used to getting flashed by people thinking I have my brights on, now that just got worse. I am sure that more people are going to flash and get a surprise when they see how bright the brights actually are.

They should be pretty spot on as far as I know. They project right where I want them to be to see down the road. Also, every year here in NC when you get the safety inspection they are suppose to check the aiming and re-aim them if they are off using the headlight aiming tools. So as far as I know, they are set to what they are suppose to be since they check it yearly and I have had 2 inspections since buying the car. Now whether they are doing it, is another question altogether. But either way, it seems right to me and I haven't changed the aim on them so they should be factory set.

From what I have read here, it is normal for some people to flash the HHR's thinking the lights are too bright. I seem not the only one it happens to.

I just can't wait to get them out on a dark country road and see how much better they are now compared to the way they were.

I think it depends on the inspection shop here in Carolina as to the quality of the aiming job you get. The last time I had one "adjust" the headlight aim on a car, I ended up with one headlight looking for Night Crawlers and the other shining at the space station, it was bad.

Like you sleeper, I do my own aiming these days if needed, never had anyone flash me for having the lights up too high. The Extreme Power H-13's do seem to give a more crisp light and a more aggressive cutoff than the stock bulbs, so far I really like them.

I saw that too. They do seem crisper and have a better cut off just based on looking across the street. With the storms that came through the area last night, I didn't go anywhere. I will see more when I get a chance to check it out on the road at night.
Also I will check out the aiming myself as soon as I can.

Are these just the ones you can buy at AutoZone?

I don't know. I bought then off ebay for $25 dollars shipped and that is much cheaper than you get out of a brick and morter store for these bulbs.

I'd be interesting to see how they compare to Silverstars.

I've always been a skeptic of ebay. Can you link the particular seller you got yours from so I can make sure to get the right ones and packaged correctly.
