Changing Rearview Mirror?

I have my driver seat adjusted down as low it will go and that big rearview mirror sits right in my field of vision and makes it so I have to duck down when I am going around a small curve or driving down my street checking for kids.

I don't have Onstar and could care less about the auto-dimming feature and turn it off everytime I get in the car. Has anyone replace it with a smaller mirror and maybe mounted up a little higher on the windshield? The default one hangs down a few inches.

I have 2007 2LT Fall Edition.

I did a search for rear view mirror and it brought up a whole bunch of crap threads so not sure if this has been asked before, but any advice on replacing it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You can adjust the mirror mount angle so it's raised to the headliner if you wish. It makes a big difference.

This crap thread tells you how:

From reading the referenced thread, few people knew the mirror could be raised. To make it clearer as to how it is done ....

There are two ball joints - one at each end of the arm supporting the window plate to the mirror.

1. Bend the arm up to where you want it using the joint at the window.

2. Adjust the mirror to the desired position for rear viewing using the joint at the mirror.
